CONWAY SELECTMEN ENDORSE JEB FOR STATE SENATE

Four Local Leaders Pick Bradley in 3rd District State Senate Special Election April 21

Wolfeboro, NH – Four Conway Selectmen today announced their endorsement of Jeb Bradley for the 3rd District State Senate Seat.  Citing his experience, work ethic, willingness to give clear answers to difficult questions, and his understanding of the specific issues confronting, Crow Dickinson, Mark Hounsell, Bob Drinkhall, and Larry Martin put their support behind Jeb.

“Businesses in the hospitality industry are threatened with nearly a 10% increase in the Rooms and Meals Tax at a time that hotels and restaurants are struggling to attract customers. This tax hike will drive tourists to neighboring states, hurting our economy and job opportunities. I am supporting Jeb because he has clearly pledged to vote against this tax hike and will not alter his position,” said Larry Martin chairman of the Board.

“The budget the House just passed will dramatically raise property taxes for all Conway residents because the House believes the State can break its promises to fund building aid for schools. This will cost our school district $1.6 million and simply put is an outrage.  Jeb will stand up and fight this nonsense in the Senate. Would every property tax payer please join me and send Jeb to Concord on April 21st,” said Crow Dickinson, Conway Board of Selectmen.

Jeb Bradley was the only candidate to give clear answers on his positions. I am supporting Jeb because,   as a former small business owner, he knows that the new Capital Gains Tax will kill jobs and investment across New Hampshire. At a time that everyone is tightening their belts, Jeb knows state government must do the same. Vote for Jeb to bring some much needed common sense to Concord,” said Bob Drinkhall, Conway Board of Selectmen.

“I am a registered independent voter. We can’t allow the State Senate to be controlled by a supermajority of either party. Jeb Bradley does not waffle on the issues. His experience in both the New Hampshire Legislature and United States Congress means he will answer to the voters and work to solve problems,” Mark Hounsell, Conway Board of Selectmen.

In accepting the endorsements, Bradley reiterated his promise to fight against any increases to the Rooms& Meals tax, against the formation of a brand new capital gains tax and death tax, and to always make sure the state meets its obligations to the local communities.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of these four dedicated public servants. I look forward to working with them as a member of the Senate to protect the vitality of the hospitality industry and protect property tax payers from tax spikes because the state wants to walk away from its obligations,” said Bradley.
